Watts Copy Systems started in Springfield, Illinois and has been a locally and family owned corporation in business for 27 years. Watts is a designated Sharp retail dealer and has 85 employees. Watts has eight (8) Sales and Service Branch offices across the state. The Corporate Office is located in Springfield, Illinois. Branch Offices are located in Belleville, Bloomington, Champaign, Decatur, Macomb, Mattoon, Peoria and Quincy. Each office has local sales and service representation. Parts and supplies are available in the branch offices as well as in each service representative's vehicle to better serve our customers across the State of Illinois.

In 1982 Watts Copy Systems was literally started in the basement of Skip and Carol's home. Our first new copier was a treated-paper copier made by Clark. Otto Clark manufactured these in Chicago. We would sell one and go to Chicago and buy two more. Carol and I, having worked for other dealerships, knew the quality that Sharp copiers would provide. Within a year we became an authorized Sharp Dealer. Shortly after, we purchased Decker Business Systems becoming the only Sharp Dealership in Springfield. Within the next five years we opened branch locations in Champaign, Decatur, Quincy and Fairview Heights. In the following year, we purchased the Sharp Dealership in Mattoon and opened our Macomb branch.

Watts Copy Systems was one of the first Sharp Dealerships in the United States to market facsimiles. Since its entry into the facsimile market, Sharp has been the best selling fax machine in the world and continues to be number one today.

Approximately 17 years ago Watts Copy Systems became the authorized Ascom Hasler Postage Dealer for Central Illinois and has today expanded into PFE inserters, and mailroom furniture offering complete mailroom design services.

Watts Copy Systems has consistently received recognition for outstanding sales and service performance. Currently ranked number one in our market segment and within the top ten Dealerships in America. There are approximately 530 authorized Dealerships in America.

Carol Watts, President of Watts Copy Systems, was recently ranked number 4 in the country for personal sales achievement during a Sharp National sales contest.
